Emily: Oh! That's something else: fresh food. I have occasionally fantasised about a big salad... fresh berries... Your catering has been great, though!!!
Dee: Oh, no offence taken, I imagine it's far from the same.
Emily: Cold be heaps worse though. Imagine if I got scurvy out here. Nooo thanks.
Dee: Nooo indeed. But as you say, luckily some giants discovered vitamin C so we can stand on their shoulders and I don't accidentally malnourish you. (Plus, I bought all the food pre-prepped.)
Emily: Yes! Although - huh, didn't you know? How much insight do you have into the causes of people's deaths?
Dee: A bit, but it varies... or some things are less clear to me. With scurvy people usually die of blood loss or infection. There's a sort of flavour like it's a nutrition thing, but... probably I've just learned what various diseases look like now.
Emily: That's so crazy, you didn't even know about disease until this recently?
