(A panel showing concentric cloud layers of Saturn; a panel showing Dee swooping with Emily through the geysers of Enceladus. Dialogue continues over panels.)
Emily:
Just like - the interconnectedness of everything. Humans with the rest of the world, and humans with each other. Even out here, I can't disconnect from it. And that's cool.
Dee: Oh?
Emily: Yeah! Like - okay, so I have not been being self-sufficient. Obviously. You've built all of this and made it so I have nothing to worry about! Not work, not food, not even the rhythm of the sun. I can sleep whenever, do whatever, ignore everyone. I can hang out with you all the time and not worry about anyone seeing!
Dee: Even though I -
Emily: We sorted it out, right? You can relax, it was a one off, I forgive you, I trust you.
Dee: Okay...
Emily: So - yeah. Extremely freeing, but the polar opposite of self-sufficient. But like... even when I go camp on my own, all my stuff was still made by other people. If I hitchhike around, I'm relying on kind strangers. What food I can forage, what I'll have to buy, how to cook it... Absolutely everything is knowledge other people came up with, bit by bit over time...
