Dee: That’s totally different! Glaciers aren’t that slow, or not the ones I go in. The longest I’ve been in a glacier was maybe a decade? One only took three years start to finish.
Emily: Oh I’d assumed millennia! That’s not so bad.
Dee: Nah. Subduction zones, mantle convection cells… They’re slow. I haven’t made it to the end of one of those yet, and that’s a clear thing happening. No idea what the point of the box is.
Emily: What kind of box is it?
Dee: Just a stone chest. Somewhat cramped.
Emily: And you’re in there, continuously, for centuries?
Dee: I think so. Well… It could be several stints and I haven’t noticed me coming or going. Still, though.
Emily: Have you ever asked yourself what you’re doing in there?
Dee: Nah. I’ll find out one day.
Emily: But now I wanna know! Can you try?
Dee: Hm… alright
(He vanishes, dropping Emily into the void of space)
Emily:
Hoo!
