I APPLIED FOR A NUMBER OF JOBS, BUT THE ONLY ONE THAT WANTED ME WAS THE NURSING HOME AFTER ALL.
Voice on phone: Do you think you'd be free to come in on Tuesday, after school? We'll interview you to see if we'll give you a trial.
Emily (writing on the calendar): Yep, I can do Tuesday! Thanks!
(A different panel, presumably Tuesday)
Emily:
Woohoo! Passed the interview, I'm going to start my trial!
Dee: Congratulations!
Emily: Haha, wouldn't it be funny if I ran into you at work?
Dee: No. That would be neither amusing nor strange.
(A different panel, a different day)
Ella:
Let me fix your collar... Now, you have to be nice to people!
Emily: Yes, I know.
Ella: And remember, you can always ask if you're unsure of anything...
(Emily approaches the front gate and garden of the nursing home.)

Alt text: The nursing home there is based very loosely on the one my grandmother is currently in; so loosely, in fact, that I don't know why I'm telling you this.
