Gaulish Celtic
The god of eloquence, poetry, and death in Gaulish Celtic mythology. As a muscular old man carrying a club and a bow, and often wearing a lion skin, Ogmios looked a lot like an older version of Heracles.
He was also sometimes depicted with golden chains leading from his smiling mouth to the ears of followers, as it was his eloquence which allowed him to bind men to him.
Ogma in Irish Celtic mythology is very similar; they are related, if not the same god.
